Completing a form may seem easy or straight forward. However, lodging a visa application is a legal matter and only Registered Migration Agents and Lawyers are qualified to provide legal advice. The majority of people are unaware of the legality behind the requirements, or even behind a seemingly simple question on a form. Without having access to legislation it is very easy to make mistakes, or interpret requirements differently. Providing incorrect information can have major consequences, and can result in a refusal, a cancellation, or even a ban of 3 or 10 years to lodge another application.

We don’t “just fill in forms”; we check the most up-to-date legislation and requirements each time we are to consider an application (this is a requirement by law to do so), we check if you meet all criteria and we advise you of (another) pathway to have better chances. We will not proceed if your application has no chance of success.

We have extensive experience with Partner visas, Visitor visas and Australian citizenship applications and we know which information is important to present to the Australian Immigration Department. We have been working with local and overseas families since 2012 and submitted countless family visa applications on their behalf.

Personal approach

Family visas are personal and very emotional. We understand that. That is why we prefer a personal approach; you are not a number to us. We know that it is a complicated process and we are more than happy to explain in detail the process or the reason for providing certain information. It is important to us to make the process as smooth as possible because lodging a visa application is for most people already stressful.

Manon arrived in Geelong mid-October 2005 on a Skilled Regional visa and knows first-hand the challenges of settling into a new country. From February 2006 Manon worked for Geelong’s former Migrant Resource Centre (known as Diversitat) assisting new skilled arrivals securing employment and was later seconded to the City of Greater Geelong as a Skilled Migration Officer.

A career change followed after completion of the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice at Victoria University in 2011. Manon has been working as a Registered Migration Agent since January 2012 for Diversitat and later Opal Immigration Services and is founder and Principal Migration Agent of Geelong Migration since 2021.

Manon has assisted many families and partners in the Geelong region and prides herself in dealing with both applicant and sponsor in a compassionate and diligent matter.
